Capture
Memories fade too quickly in our world. They come and go faster than you want. When you find that perfect moment, when everything around you is in harmony, when war and poverty doesn't exist, when stress melts and laughter fills whatever empty spaces that are left in between, don't you wish you could hold on to that moment forever? To that, I say THANK THE LORD ABOVE FOR CAMERAS!
My favorite thing to do at my grandparents' house is thrust myself into photos. You no longer can see the faded wallpaper behind the endless display of picture frames. Seeing my young and handsome Grandpa Gene, with his hair slicked back and his waist thinned standing next to my beautiful Grandma JoJo with hair still tightly curled and skinned taught with youth... it brings tears to my eyes. I long to live in that moment. This feeling could never occur if the moment was never captured.
Photos are precious. Sometimes they may not seem so important when your camera is full of pointless moments, but you'll think differenlty when you stumble upon them again 20 years later.
